My name is Oriana Barrera, I’m 18 years old and I’m from San Antonio de Los Altos.
I’m studding urban planning in the Simon Bolivar University. Two times a
week I practice with my dance crew Urban Motion and I’m active member of “Nalu”
the club of surf in the university.
I also I'm a sports lover; I play tennis, soccer and volleyball.
I’m a really kind and out going. I considerate my self an honest person and I like that people be honest with me
even if the truth is afoul.
If I have to say a word to describe my self, I would say happy.
My passions in life are dance, surf and urban planning.
I hope in a future being a really good professional and always be full of joy.
Professional Profile
I graduated as an urban planner from Simon Bolivar University in 2015. I was in an exchange program for one year at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon in France where I also got a Master degree in urban spaces. In 2017, I studied landscaping in the Université de Lyon.
While I was in Lyon, I worked in the construction of the Quai Arloing Avenue and in the reconstruction of the Routtier de La Croix-Rousse Tunnel. For some years I worked as a teacher at the Clemson University, in the Department of Planning and Landscape Architecture. I also worked at The Irvine Company in California. Nowadays, I’m a member of the American Planning Association, and work all over the world thanks to my own construction company called “A new future”.
My next big project is to make a proposal to rebuild the city of Caracas, Venezuela. The idea is, with the help of the best urban planners, architects, and engineers, to make of Caracas the most organized and beautiful city in the world.
